About me
Mr Stuart Gould qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in 1989, having taken an intercalated BSc in Infection and Immunity. Obtaining his FRCS, he worked at Wexham Park as Surgical Registrar for a year before moving to the North West Thames Registrar Rotation. His research was into the application of Interventional MRI into Surgical Practice. This resulted in some unique and pioneering work with presentations and lectures throughout the world.
His higher surgical training focussed on Gastrointestinal Surgery, particularly Colorectal, with an extensive experience of Laparoscopic Surgery.
In May 2000 he was appointed as Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Surgeon to Imperial College and St Mary’s NHS Trust. He moved to NWLH NHS Trust in November 2004 and his current post involves Gastrointestinal, Laparoscopic and Daycase Surgery with a very strong commitment to teaching.
Since November 2004 he has worked as Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, part of the London North West University Hospitals Trust
Since 2014 he has been Clinical lead for General Surgery and the Emergency Surgery Unit, which is one of the busiest in the country
