About me

I have been in private practice for over 15 years and have extensive experience working with clients facing stress, anxiety and depression due to work or relationship issues. I have also worked extensively with clients who have experienced trauma - particularly through their younger years.
I work with both individuals and with couples.

Areas of interest

I use a model of counselling which is Person-Centred at its core, but which draws from Psychodynamic theories and CBT when appropriate. When working with trauma, I work within a "3 phase model", which focuses initially on safety and stabilisation before processing of memories.

I have extensive experience working with issues such as: depression; anxiety; low self-esteem; anger; relationship and family issues; developmental trauma; abuse, be it emotional, physical or sexual; bereavement and loss; work-related stress.
