About me

I am an experienced mental health practitioner with over 20 years of clinical practice, primarily within the NHS, working across both child and adult mental health services. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive specialist expertise in complex mental health presentations and Tier 3 addiction services. I have worked as a Senior Specialist Substance Misuse Consultant within multidisciplinary teams, supporting children, young people, young offenders, and their families.

Since 2020, I have specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and am fully BABCP accredited. I provide evidence-based treatment for a range of difficulties, including depression, low self-esteem, women's health, sports injuries and anxiety disorders such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), social anxiety, health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), specific phobias, and challenges related to long-term health conditions.

I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals to improve their psychological wellbeing. Through CBT, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, enabling them to develop healthier perspectives and more adaptive coping strategies. This process supports meaningful and lasting change in how individuals think, feel, and behave.

In addition to my mental health work, I am a qualified Sports Massage Therapist (since 2014), with a particular interest in the connection between physical health and psychological wellbeing. I have extensive experience working with athletes, including cyclists, footballers, weightlifters, and marathon runners. My approach recognises the impact of injury, recovery, and long-term physical conditions on mental health, and integrates both physical and psychological perspectives to support overall wellbeing.
