About me

Dr Chahal graduated in 2006 from the University of Liverpool Medical School before training in general cardiology the North West of England. He gained sub-speciality training and experience in heart failure management and complex device implantation at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital. After two decades away from the South Coast he returned for a heart failure fellowship post at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth before being appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Dr Chahal has a passion for patient-centred high-quality care and prides himself on his communication with his patients. He sees patients with general cardiology problems such as breathlessness, chest pains, palpitations, dizziness & black-outs as well as managing high blood pressure and high cholesterol/lipid levels. He specialises in seeing patient with possible and confirmed heart failure with expert understanding of the use of the latest evidenced based medicines to help patients. He also specialises in the implant and follow up of pacemakers, CRT devices as well as defibrillators.
