About me
I work with children, young people and their families, often when things are feeling difficult or overwhelming. Some of the reasons families have worked with me include: support to understand and manage feelings of anxiety, depression or frustration; difficulties with emotion-regulation; and difficulties within family relationships, including parent-infant and parent-child relationships.
Many of us will have experiences of feeling stuck, lost or unsure of where to go next. I can work alongside you and your family to offer support when you’re finding it hard to identify a way forward. I do this through providing a safe, warm and non-judgemental therapeutic space and collaboratively identifying which psychological approach may be most helpful.
I understand difficulties by thinking about what is going on around a person, including at school, home, with friends and family and the wider community as well as social and cultural influences. I also draw upon parents’ relationships with their children to support the movement towards meaningful changes.
