About me
Welcome to my practice! I am Dr. Ed Quah, a highly skilled Consultant Rheumatologist based in Manchester. I specialise in treating patients with a wide range of rheumatic conditions.
I obtained my degree in Medicine from the University of Nottingham and completed my specialist training at Merseyside Deanery.
I currently practise privately at Spire Manchester Hospital and The Alexandra Hospital in Manchester, and I also maintain a full-time NHS role as a rheumatology and general medicine consultant at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
With years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex rheumatological disorders, I am dedicated to providing expert, patient-centred care that is both thorough and compassionate. My approach to treatment goes beyond simply managing symptoms I believe in addressing all aspects of my patients' health, including their emotional and mental well-being.
When you come to see me, you can expect a comprehensive and collaborative consultation. I will begin by reviewing your medical history and understanding your symptoms, while also discussing any lifestyle factors that may contribute to your condition. It's important to me that we discuss all your concerns in detail, and I'll explain the underlying causes of your symptoms in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
During your consultation, I may perform a physical examination to assess your joints, muscles, and overall mobility. Depending on your condition, I may recommend additional diagnostic tests or imaging. Based on all the information, we will work together to develop a tailored treatment plan that suits your needs. Whether it involves medication, physical therapy, or lifestyle changes, I will ensure you are fully informed and comfortable with each decision we make.
I understand that every patient is unique, which is why I provide individualised care plans tailored to your specific needs. From the initial diagnosis to treatment, my goal is to help you improve your health, alleviate pain, and regain an active, fulfilling lifestyle.
I also recognise the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to care. I work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pain management specialists, to ensure you receive comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of your condition
