About me

When it comes to your emotional wellbeing it is important to know your therapist has obtained the highest qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience in the field.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Certified Schema Therapist with over 20 years’ experience and have worked extensively with a broad range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, PTSD and personality disorders as well as bipolar disorders and psychotic experiences. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) which confers legal recognition within psychological therapy to deliver the highest standards of clinical knowledge and expertise. I have gained recognition with the International Society of Schema Therapy as a Certified Advanced Level Schema Focused Therapist providing the highest level of clinical knowledge and skills in this treatment model for clients to identify, overcome and manage their difficulties.

Starting therapy can feel a little daunting, you may not know what to expect and are unsure about whether it could help you. With this in mind, I offer a personal and confidential space to identify and explore your difficulties. You are unique with a unique set of experiences and emotional needs and I use evidence based treatments tailored to your personal circumstances. I believe the building blocks of effective therapy are a trusting relationship where you feel safe, heard and accepted. Where your emotional needs are given centre stage and you feel able to express your needs and difficulties comfortably without fear or compromise. My approach is compassionate, understanding, and kind, fostering growth and paving the way to self-discovery, healing and getting your life back on track.
