About me

I offer face to face sessions, online or by telephone. I run a private practice offering Counselling, Animal-Assisted Therapy, Rewind Trauma Therapy, EMDR & Flash Technique to individuals age 11 and upwards, Adolescents, adults, couples & families.

I am accredited by BACP and Senior Accredited with NCPS. I am also a therapist supervisor.

My modality is Person-centred at its core using an Integrative approach, using other therapy models as needed.

I will work collaboratively together with you, to build a trusted counselling relationship. Your journey of self-discovery will allow you to develop a deeper understanding of your self, the people around you, your past and how its been influencing 'the here & now', your circumstances and your situation, and we will look at the best way to support your needs, facilitate change and how to reach your aims and aspirations. All this will be in the strictest confidence, without judgement, in a quiet safe space, in my comfortable therapy room.

If you choose to have a therapy pets along side you during your therapy You can have Neisha & Molly (Tonkinese x siamese therapy cats), and/or Dottie (a small mini Chihuahua dog).
Having a therapy pet on your lap can help you feel more at ease, less stressed, and this can help you to feel you can talk more openly and freely express yourself and talk about your feelings. This will be at your own pace.
Stroking an animal releases automatic relaxation responses & is proven to release serotonin, prolactin and oxytocin. These feel good hormones elevate mood, bringing great health benefits like lowering blood pressure, helping with relaxation, relieving stress, building confidence, improving self-esteem, elevating mood & depression, and can relieve and reduce anxiety and stress. You can explore how you feel about relationships, look at self-esteem/confidence issues, mindfulness, or do breathing exercises in time with Neisha.

I have lived experience & easy array of knowledge of issues like; living with and managing pain, illness & disabilities, and in particular managing chronic conditions like managing pain, Fibromyalgia, CFS, Arthritis. Care of the elderly, Nursing & Social Care with adults, children & adolescents, fostering, working with victims of domestic abuse, and offenders, bereavement, baby, child & pet loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, divorce, pregnancy, mother support, childcare and other Mental Health issues like depression/Anxiety, GAD, PTSD, baby loss, divorce etc.

Should you need career guidance, I am a very good motivator and can coach and guide you to for-fill your work potential, any self employment, or business ideas.

I won awards for Best Private Practice 2020 for National Counsellors Day with CTUK and have been recently won an additional award for 'Best Family Counsellor' 2023/24 with Prestige Awards. I also run a local award winning pet care company.

My therapy room is a safe quiet space, which is a relaxing environment. You can park on my drive or I am on a bus route, with the bus stopping outside at Wheatcroft Garage.
