About me
Welcome! I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS and is currently in private practice.
I completed my PhD in Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at King's College London.
I have been working across various specialist services with a range of psychological difficulties, and I offer therapies informed by different psychological models.
I have carried out research, delivered teaching, and supervised junior colleagues.
I am an Accredited Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P) Provider and an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained Therapist.
I have undertaken further specialist training, including Perinatal Clinical Psychology Training, and I am completing specialist training to become accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Areas of interest
My clinical specialties are Perinatal and severe psychological presentations (including Bipolar Affective Disorder and Psychosis) and their relationship with Trauma - my PhD thesis focused on Psychosis and my DClinPsych thesis on Mania.
I work with a wide range of difficulties: stress, anxiety (including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), trauma and historical experience of abuse, mood issues and depression, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, bereavement and grief, emotional dysregulation and personality problems, antenatal and postnatal struggles, identity issues, adjustment and life transitions (including difficulties adjusting/transitioning to parenthood), communication difficulties in relationships, chronic illness, parenting struggles, family issues, couple conflict, neurodevelopmental conditions (including ADHD and Autism) and neurodiversity.
