About me
I aim to help my clients live a rich, full and meaningful life using an approach based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology (PP). ACT is a third wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based in mindfulness, valued action and compassion. PP is the science of well being, so my intention is to provide strategies to help you flourish into the future beyond mental distress. My ethos is highly collaborative and pragmatic, focusing on workable, strength oriented solutions for the particular person. in their context. I am far from perfect and have had my own struggles with mental and physical health during my life. I feel this has helped me become a warm and empathic therapist and I try to practice what I preach and use all the therapeutic techniques I espouse in my own life. My core values are compassion, wisdom and authenticity.
