About me

Mr Fanous is a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
He qualified from St George’s, University of London in 2009 going on to complete a Masters in Musculoskeletal Sciences at Oxford University. He trained in the North West London rotation in prestigious units such as Imperial College Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Fellowship trained in Nottingham he has also worked as a consultant in Manchester’s busy trauma centre giving him a wide range of experience.

As a member of the Nottingham Shoulder and Elbow Unit Mr Fanous performs primary, complex and revision shoulder and elbow joint replacements. He is a specialist in arthroscopic (key-hole) surgery and awake surgery. He is involved in audit, research and teaching as well as being a GMC-recognised trainer for specialist trainees in the East Midlands deanery.
