About me
Dr Sarah Hardy, CPsychol, AFBPsS and Certified Theraplay Therapist
Dr Sarah Hardy is a Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Theraplay Therapist based in Salisbury, Wiltshire and offers appointments remotely or in person to families. This can include school/home observations as required and agreed (depending on location).
Dr Hardy has been trained in a range of approaches and therapeutic models and has worked with families as a Clinical Psychologist for over 25 years helping children and young people who are experiencing behavioural, emotional and psychological difficulties. She has particular expertise in working with younger children who have experienced loss or early developmental trauma.
In addition to being a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Hardy has an MSc in Health Psychology and has undergone training in the Parent-Child Game, Webster-Stratton Incredible Years, Story Stem, Autism Assessments (3Di and ADOS) and DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy). She is also a Certified Theraplay Therapist and supports parents to use this model with their child.
When a child is experiencing difficulties, it can be hard to know why this is happening and what to do. Dr Hardy offers virtual parent consultation sessions to provide parents with the opportunity to share their concerns and help them to identify the specific needs of their child and what they can do to support them.
Dr Hardy offers sessions remotely and directly (depending on location and need). She is a member of The British Psychological Society, The Theraplay Institute and the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
