About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Teacher.

I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS. As a Clinical Psychologist I worked in gastroenterology, pelvic health, chronic pain, bariatric surgery and weight management. I currently work solely in private practice.

My specialist areas of interest are gut and bowel health, eating behaviour, body image and helping people to adjust to and live well with long-term physical health conditions.

The primary model of therapy I work from is Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’m interested in bringing the body into Psychology, so I also draw heavily on Polyvagal Theory, the gut-brain axis, yoga and how body systems affect psychological well-being. I work alongside my clients to help them to figure out what deeply matters to them, how they can respond to painful or distressing thoughts and emotions and take action in line with their personal values.

I also offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This is particularly beneficial for people with past trauma.
