About me

I am a General and Upper Gastrointestinal Consultant Surgeon at The Spire Hospital Bristol, where I assess and treat various conditions. These include groin and other abdominal wall hernias, gallstones, and acid reflux.

In addition, I am part of the oesophago-gastric team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, the regional center for oesophageal and gastric cancer. Here, we offer comprehensive surgical and endoscopic treatments for both early and advanced cancer stages.

I began my NHS consultant role in 2020. I studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and completed my clinical training in the Southampton, London, and Bristol areas. I also received specialised training in oesophago-gastric cancer surgery at St Thomas' Hospital in London, which is one of the highest-volume units in the country.

I enjoy blending my clinical practice with academic research. I earned a PhD from Imperial College London in 2016, focusing on high performance in surgery at the Centre for Patient Safety and Service Quality. I am passionate about contributing to ongoing research aimed at improving patient experiences and outcomes, particularly in the upper gastrointestinal field.
