About me

I am a consultant cardiologist, offering private consultations Reading, Berkshire. My NHS appointment is at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

I see patients with wide range of adult cardiac conditions. These include patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, syncope, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, heart muscle disease and pre-operative assessment prior to non-cardiac surgery.

Having obtained my primary medical qualification (MBBS) with Merit from Guys, Kings and St Thomas's School of Medicine in 2008 and membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2012, I pursued advanced training in Cardiology at the Barts Heart Centre in London and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in Essex. I had dedicated fellowship in performing all aspects of coronary intervention and management of heart function impairment. In addition, I also perform non-invasive imaging using echocardiography, CT cardiac angiogram and I offer implantation of permanent pacemaker systems.

I have academic interest in cardiovascular medicine having pursued 2 years of full-time clinical research, for which I received MD (Res) in 2015. I published in several peer-reviewed journals.

I am particularly interested in post-resuscitation care for cardiac arrest survivors and cardiac rehabilitation following a heart attack. I am the current Clinical Lead for Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
