About me
Dr Nadia Balmain provides psychotherapy and counselling services for Anxiety, Depression and Trauma. It is based in Chester which is easily accessible from towns and villages in Cheshire, the Wirral, Flintshire and Wrexham.
Dr Balmain is a chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC and an EMDR Practitioner. She has the view that a psychotherapist should enable clients to feel comfortable and accepted whilst also feeling encouraged and empowered to make changes in their lives that fit with their own values and what is important to them as an individual.
She provides evidence based psychological therapy whilst also tailoring the therapy to the clients individual needs. However, above all else it provides a safe space for clients where they can feel understood and heard.
Dr Balmain provides psychological assessment and therapy using a variety of therapy approaches such as EMDR for a range of difficulties such as Anxiety, low mood and Depression and Trauma.

She works with adults and although she is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches she has specialist training in EMDR.
Dr Nadia Balmain is an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and specialises in treating PTSD and Trauma including treating the above presenting problems.
