About me

I am a senior Clinical Psychologist, and I work with both individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns they can't seem to break.

For many of the people I see, this shows up as anxiety that won't shift, self-doubt that never seems quiet, or emotions and responses that feel too big to manage. Some describe repeating the same arguments with their partner, or pushing people away even when they want closeness. Others feel exhausted from overthinking, carrying too much, or battling a harsh inner critic.

Therapy with me offers a safe space to understand these patterns and where they come from; whether that be past experiences, relationships, or the ways you've learned to cope. From there, we can begin to loosen their grip. My aim is always to help you feel more grounded, more compassionate towards yourself, and more confident in how you relate to others and to life.

Alongside my core training in Clinical Psychology, I am a certified Schema Therapist and also provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). These approaches go beyond talking alone: Schema Therapy helps us make sense of long-standing patterns, while EMDR allows us to reprocess memories and experiences that still feel stuck. For couples, I draw on training in the Gottman Method and systemic psychotherapy to support communication, strengthen connection, and rebuild trust.

I offer both online sessions and in-person therapy from my consulting room at Leah's Yard, Sheffield.

If you would like to explore whether working together feels right for you, you are welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation via my website: https://www.philospsychology.co.uk/get-started
