About me
I am consultant surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust Hospitals since 2014. My initial surgical training was at University Teaching Hospital in Athens (Greece) and subsequently in UK specialist HPB units in London and Southampton.
I provide a comprehensive service in the area of general surgery with specialist interest in HPB ( pancreatobiliary and liver) diseases , performing a wide variety of laparoscopic surgery including cholecystectomy, abdominal and groin hernia repair, splenectomy, appendicectomy. I have specialised in managing pancreatobiliary malignant ( cancer) and benign diseases ( acute - chronic pancreatitis).
Areas of interest
Laparoscopic and open surgery of abdominal, hernia, inguinal, femoral, umbilical hernia, with or without mesh.
Incisional hernia surgery (laparoscopic or open), with or without mesh.
Treatment of Gall Bladder diseases, gallstones, CBD stones, gallbladder polyps, complex biliary benign or maligmant disease , performing: laparoscopic - open cholecystectomy, CBD exploration , resection with Hepatico - jejunostomy Roux en Y.
Pancreatic malignant diseases : performing major pancreatic resection ( Whipple's procedure, distal pancreatectomy, total pancreatectomy - with or without vascular (PV) resection and reconstruction.
Acute - chronic pancreatitis : management and treatment, performing pancreatic by pass procedures( Frey's - modified Peustow).
