About me

Emily is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, with over 14 years' experience working within a variety of NHS and private mental health settings. Emily is trained in a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches, which she will tailor (where clinically appropriate) to meet the individual needs of each client.

Emily works with clients who experience a range of difficulties- including anxiety, depression, panic, and stress. Emily's specialist interest is in supporting individuals to manage the psychological impact of physical health conditions and appearance-related concerns.
She has worked across several large London hospitals including the Royal Free Hospital, the Hillingdon Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, and Whipps Cross Hospital. Emily has offered psychological consultation and treatment to patients across numerous medical specialties including Chronic Pain, Respiratory Illnesses, Diabetes, Cardiac Health, Dermatology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Oncology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Emily also has specialist experience treating individuals with appearance-related anxiety and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). She currently offers consultation for decision-making around medical treatment or elective surgery. She also offers assessment of appearance-related distress, particularly in the context of seeking or undergoing cosmetic or reconstructive surgical procedures.

Outside of private practice, Emily is the School Psychologist at the Berkhamsted Schools Group. She offers consultation to students, families and teachers to support the mental health of young people across the schools.
