Mr Housami is one of the North West's leading urological surgeons with a reputation for surgical excellence and a commitment to compassionate care. He provides expertise in the management of kidney stone disease and a wide range of urological conditions.

He is an expert in endoscopic treatment of stones (LASER) as well as minimally-invasive kidney stone surgery (keyhole). He also has an interest in urinary tract infections and benign prostate enlargement, offering a thorough clinical assessment including diagnostic procedures such as flexible cystoscopy.

Academic Background
Mr Housami qualified from Damascus University, then completed Basic Surgical Training in Southwest England. His research at the at the Bristol Urological Institute on non-invasive urodynamics has been presented internationally and published in peer-reviewed journals.

He completed Urology Specialist Training in the West of Scotland followed by Stone Surgery Fellowship training at the Scottish Lithotripter Centre in Edinburgh. He also visited specialist urology centres in Sri Lanka to refine his skills in keyhole stone surgery. He was appointed as Consultant Urologist and Stone Surgeon to Aintree University Hospital in 2016.

Mr Housami holds a Medical Education qualification from Plymouth University and contributes to urology training in the Northwest region and nationally.

Bladder Problems - diagnosis and management of urinary tract infections (cystitis), blood in the urine (haematuria), urinary urgency and incontinence. Including endoscopic assessment of the bladder (flexible cystoscopy).
