About me

Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for cardiology at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Private patients consultations at The Berkshire Clinic. In addition to managing all aspects of General Cardiology, subspecialty interests include non-invasive detection of cardiovascular disease with cardiovascular computed tomography, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.

Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). BSCI/BSCCT and SCCT Level 3 accreditation in Cardiovascular CT. Member of the SCCT UK International Regional Committee. Past Executive Committee member of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging/Cardiovascular CT, having served as Treasurer (2019-2022), Lead for Accreditation (2018-2019) and Liaison to the British Nuclear Cardiology Society. Royal College of Physicians Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills (PACES) Scenario Writing Group 2016-2019.

At the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Cardiology SpR Educational Supervisor and Higher Education Thames Valley Cardiology ARCP Panel Member. Served as Royal Berkshire Hospital BMA Local Negotiating Committee Chair (2020-2022) and Level 3 Hospital Representative for Thames Valley and Oxford Congenital Heart Disease Operational Delivery Network (2020-2022).

Co-author of the Royal College of Radiology Standards for CT Coronary Angiography, contributing author to the ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging and co-editor of the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, now in its second edition. Served as a Cardiovascular Imaging Expert Panel Member for the 8th edition of the RCR iRefer (Making the Best Use of Clinical Radiology Services) Guidelines.
