About me
Dr Terence McLoughlin is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, with extensive experience in the assessment and management of acute and complex medical presentations within a major tertiary care setting.
He specialises in the evaluation and management of head injury, including concussion and traumatic brain injury, as well as acute neurological symptoms, musculoskeletal injury, and undifferentiated medical presentations. He has a particular interest in patients with persistent or unexplained symptoms following acute illness or injury, providing clear diagnosis, management plans, and second opinions.
Dr McLoughlin is Clinical Sepsis Lead at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Deputy Clinical Director of Research, with a focus on improving outcomes in time-critical conditions through evidence-based practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and is actively involved in research, education, and clinical governance
