About me

Hello, I am Jan. I am a gestalt therapist accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This means I meet the BACP's higher standard of experience and competence. I am also qualified in EMDR (Eye Movement Reprogramming and Desensitisation) and am a member of the EMDR Association UK. I have been in private practice now for 9 years and have worked in a number of different agencies.
I deal with a wide range of issues and have particular experience in working with trauma including sexual and domestic abuse, drugs and alcohol and young people. I work with adults, young people from the age of 14 and individuals and couples of all genders, races, sexualities and abilities. I also provide counselling for several other insurers and employee assistance programmes and I supervise other counsellors and professionals.
I cover most issues that might be bothering you including anxiety and depression, bereavement, stress, relationship issues, addictions, sexual and domestic abuse and problems at work. I have a private consulting room with WC in a quiet residential area with plenty of free parking.
