About me
Mr Daniel Reed is a consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon based at the Children's Orthopaedics practice at The Portland Hospital. He is dedicated exclusively to the care of children and adolescents with musculoskeletal conditions.
After graduating from Oxford University Medical School, he undertook general surgical training in Oxford and London, before training in orthopaedics on rotation at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. He completed speciality paediatric orthopaedic fellowship training at The Royal London Hospital, and then in Starship Children's Hospital, Auckland. Following this, he was appointed as an NHS substantive consultant in paediatric orthopaedics at Evelina Children's Hospital in 2017, where he has been Clinical Lead for Paediatric Orthopaedics since 2020.
Mr Reed has extensive experience in managing the full spectrum of paediatric orthopaedic conditions affecting children of all ages, from newborn to young adult. Mr Reed has a particular focus on caring for children and young adults with musculoskeletal problems related to neurodisability, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy.
