About me
I am the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Surgical Skills Faculty Lead - in this role I am responsible for the surgical training courses run by the Royal College.
My cataract surgery information website, cataractsurgeryinfo.com, is the only video based cataract surgery website. The videos explain each step of the journey from initial consultation, to the day of surgery and eventual discharge. There are also videos explaining the pros and cons of the different types of intraocular lenses.
I have also created the patient information website SquintClinic.com which is the most popular patient information website in the world for patients with strabismus.
Areas of interest
Cataract surgery; including Toric lenses to correct astigmatism, Extended Depth of Focus lenses and Multifocal lenses.
The anaesthetist I work with also offers a sedation service for patients who are nervous about the prospect of having surgery under local anaesthesia.
