About me

Professor Paul Fields is a Consultant Haematologist working at London Bridge Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. His specialist interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, lymphoproliferative disorders, and general haematology.
His specialist postgraduate
haematology training was undertaken in London at University College Hospital and Royal Free Hospitals. He undertook an MRC funded PhD in immunology and genetics in the UK and US, for which he was awarded two young investigator awards.
He has published extensively in lymphoma and led the development of new treatments for lymphoma which are used across the world.

Professor Fields has led the Clinical Lymphoma Service at Guy’s and St Thomas` for over 18 years and is the Chair of the Regional Sector Multidisciplinary meeting for the treatment and management of patients diagnosed with lymphoma.
His current research interests are in developing new effective therapies for patients with lymphoma, and he has led 4 UK trials as Chief Investigator. He has published extensively with over 90 peer reviewed publications, and written national and international guidelines for the treatment of lymphoma. He is medical advisor to “Lymphoma Action” and has lectured on national patient conferences for the treatment of lymphoma. He is a member of the national UK Lymphoma Clinical Studies Group and currently is leading the development of new UK trial treatment for Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
