About me
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. I specialise in foot and ankle conditions. I provide private care at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and Spire Healthcare.
I have over 35 years of medical experience. I have worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2003. I focus on both planned surgery and the treatment of complex injuries.
My aim is to reduce your pain, improve your movement and help you return to your normal activities.
I qualified in medicine with an MD and have gained Fellowships of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and Edinburgh, as well as specialist orthopaedic qualifications.
Alongside my clinical work, I support training and quality standards in the NHS. I work as a Trust Appraiser and Clinical Supervisor for junior doctors.
I am also involved in research. I have published work on the treatment of common foot conditions, including plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon problems.
I focus entirely on foot and ankle conditions. This allows me to provide highly specialised care.
I believe in clear communication. I will work with you to choose the best treatment for your needs and help you feel informed and confident throughout your care.
