About me

About me

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 35 years of clinical experience, specialising in the assessment and treatment of complex and treatment-resistant mental health conditions. My practice is focused on delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based care, with a particular interest in advanced and emerging treatments.

Over the past decade, I have developed specialist expertise in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and neuromodulation, and I am recognised as an early adopter of these therapies in the UK. I have extensive experience in treating patients who have not responded to conventional interventions, offering innovative approaches tailored to individual clinical needs.

My career includes 17 years as Medical Director within Northamptonshire's mental health services, alongside founding the Centre for Neuromodulation in 2015. I currently practise privately as Medical Director at Transforming Mind Solutions, where I lead the delivery of advanced treatments including repetitive TMS (rTMS), transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), esketamine therapy, qEEG brain mapping, and psychiatric pharmacogenetic testing.

I take a personalised and outcomes-focused approach, combining established psychiatric practice with modern technologies to optimise patient recovery and long-term wellbeing.
