About me

Ms Papadopoulos is passionate about delivering new models of ophthalmic care in both secondary and primary care sectors. She has a keen interest in virtual glaucoma clinics, glaucoma and cataract surgical outcomes. Her expertise includes conventional glaucoma surgery, glaucoma laser procedures, and small incision complex cataract surgery. She is a regular speaker at the bi-annual glaucoma patient support group of Milton Keynes University hospital and works on pathways to minimize waste and increase efficiency in the eye clinic.

Research interests

Career Experience:
With over 20 years of experience in Ophthalmology, Ms Papadopoulos became a consultant in 2012 and has led glaucoma clinics at Moorfields Eye Hospital and King’s College Hospital, among other health providers. In 2019, she was appointed as a full-time substantive Consultant at Milton Keynes University Hospital where she leads the Ophthalmic Emergencies service. Her primary areas of expertise are adult glaucoma, cataracts and general Ophthalmology.

Academic Experience:
As a lead of the Special Senses block at the University of Buckingham Medical School, Ms Papadopoulos lectures Ophthalmology to final-year medical students and serves as an examiner and educational supervisor accredited by the Royal College of Physicians. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and mentoring future generations of doctors, as well as training nurses and optometrists to acquire higher qualification diplomas.
