About me

I have been practicing as a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Nottingham University
Hospitals since 2020. I specialise in primary and revision hip replacements, including minimally invasive anterior approach total hip (AMIS DAA), primary knee replacements and knee arthroscopy. I accept tertiary referrals for complex primary and revision hip surgery from throughout the region via the East Midlands Specialist Orthopaedic Network.

I began as a medical student at the a University of Nottingham and continued my orthopaedic training locally in the East Midlands region working with surgeons in Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield and
Mansfield. I developed an interest in hip and knee arthroplasty and travelled to visit surgeons in
the USA to learn more about day case hip and knee replacements. I completed my specialist training in
the United Kingdom in 2018 before undertaking sub-specialist fellowships in primary and revision
hip and knee arthroplasty in Sheffield, working with Andrew Hamer and Simon Buckley, and then in
revision hip surgery in Nottingham working with Andrew Manktelow. During this time I also
received a distinction in a Masters Degree in Medical Education from the University of Nottingham
and continue to dedicate time to surgical training through my NHS practice and as faculty on a
number of UK courses.
