About me

Mr Rogers provides a service in most areas of urological problems. He particularly specialises in kidney stone disease and other kidney problems. He performs all types of minimally invasive surgery for kidney stones, including laser surgery and has extensive experience of other non-surgical treatments for stones, including shock-wave lithotripsy and drug treatments. He is also a high- volume laparoscopic surgeon performing laparoscopic nephrectomy (kidney removal) for kidney cancer, non-cancer reasons and kidney donation as part of the Newcastle living donor kidney transplant team.

Mr Rogers is currently a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons Endourology committee, where he is actively involved in leading national issues regarding kidney stone disease and surgery on the kidney. He is an associate clinical lecturer at Newcastle University and has an extensive track record in teaching and training other surgeons. He is the Endourology lead at the Freeman Hospital, which is one of the biggest Urology departments in the UK.

He also works at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Gateshead and provides expertise in treating prostate disorders, bladder symptoms, incontinence, female urology, penile and scrotal problems. When treating patients, he takes particular care to understand how the problem affects all aspects of patients’ lives.
