About me
I was appointed as Consultant ENT Surgeon at University Hospital Southampton in 2000. I have a subspecialty practice dealing with the full range of ear problems in adults and children. I undertake bone-anchored hearing aid and cochlear implant surgery as part of the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service. I also provide a general ENT Service.
I am an elected member of the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, where I chair the Learning Committee and Future Surgeons Forum, as well as contributing to the Global Affairs and Membership Development Committees. I have been an MRCS examiner for over 15 years and was Chair of the Court of Examiners between 2014 and 2017. I am a Council member of the British Society of Otology and a trustee of ENT UK.
I have examined overseas in Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. I have trained surgeons from India and Sri Lanka as part of the Medical Training Initiative programme.
