Cataract Full Pathway provider
I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Newmedica Nottingham .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Dr Lana A Faraj graduated with first-class honours in Medicine, a master's in molecular diagnostics, and a PhD in cornea and anterior segment research from the University of Nottingham. After training in ophthalmology in the East Midlands Deanery, she specialised in cornea, cataract, and external eye diseases at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
An experienced cataract surgeon, Dr Faraj focuses on complex cases and premium intraocular lenses. As the lead for the corneal service at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, she provides sight-restoring procedures such as DMEK, DALK, and corneal collagen crosslinking. Her clinical interests include ocular surface inflammation, dry eye, and corneal infections.
With a strong research and teaching background, Dr Faraj has numerous publications, conference presentations, and awards to her name. Holding diplomas in medical education and cataract and refractive surgery, she continues to teach in her current role. Improving patients' sight is her passion.
