About me
Mr Jasdeep Giddie FRCS (Tr & Orth), MRCS, MBBS is a Consultant Trauma, Foot and Ankle Surgeon. Within the National Health Service, he is based at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals. In private practice, he consults and operates at Princess Margaret Hospital and Spire Thames Valley and Spire Dunedin Hospitals.
Mr Giddie adopts a multidisciplinary approach, working closely with radiologists, podiatrists and orthotists, with an emphasis on non-operative management wherever appropriate. When surgical intervention is required, he utilises contemporary techniques, including arthroscopic, minimally invasive and open procedures. His clinical practice encompasses the management of foot and ankle deformities (including hallux valgus and arthritis), sports injuries such as Achilles tendon and ankle ligament injuries, diabetic foot reconstruction, and complex foot and ankle trauma.
Mr Giddie graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2007 and completed his basic and higher surgical training within the East of England rotation in 2018. He subsequently undertook advanced fellowship training, including the Windsor Foot and Ankle Fellowship and a Diabetic and Trauma Fellowship at King's College Hospital London. He was awarded the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) Travelling Fellowship, which he completed in France. Prior to his substantive consultant appointment, he worked as a locum consultant at King's College Hospital.
He is actively involved in medical education and training. He serves as faculty for FRCS examination preparation courses, contributes to undergraduate and registrar-level teaching, and is Module Lead for Brunel Medical School students. He also lectures at national and international meetings, sharing his expertise in foot and ankle conditions.
Mr Giddie is the Clinical Governance Lead at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals, where he is involved in service development and the optimisation of clinical pathways to enhance patient care and experience.
Outside of clinical practice, Mr Giddie enjoys playing padel and golf, providing him with a practical appreciation of sports-related injuries and their management.
