About me
Arman is a consultant in trauma and orthopaedics at Cambridge University Hospitals. Having completed his higher surgical training on the Cambridge rotation, he completed further fellowship training at the Fortius clinic in London, Oxford University Hospitals, and Leeds Teaching Hospitals. During this time, he was trained in the management of sports injuries in elite athletes, cartilage regenerative procedures, individualised alignment knee replacement, partial knee replacement as well as revision (re-do) surgery in cases of failed operations.
He was also awarded a travelling fellowship funded by the British Orthopaedic Association to visit medical centres in Chicago and Philadelphia (Rothman Institute). His clinical specialist interest is in knee surgery, sports and arthroplasty. He is passionate about the role of personalised knee surgery in improving the outcomes of operations for patients.
Arman has been awarded a number of prizes, including the Trinity Cup for the most accomplished trainee, Cambridge Trainee of the Year and a research grant from Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust. This grant is being used to investigate the effect of pre-operative muscle strength on the outcomes of arthroscopy.
Arman has three children and enjoys watching, and sometimes playing, a variety of sports.
