About me

I am an experienced BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. I am currently self-employed working in Private Practice.

I draw on a broad range of evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and third wave Mindfulness based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion focused work. I am a Polyvagal informed therapist and work in a trauma sensitive way.

Within my therapy work, I regularly work with individuals age 14+ experiencing Anxiety (inc. OCD, Phobia's, Health Anxiety, Panic, Social Anxiety), Depression, Low self-esteem, PTSD/ Trauma, Grief and Bereavement, Life transitions such as becoming a parent, change of career/ work, peri-menopause, menopause, retirement and those with long term health conditions (e.g. Diabetes, Cancer, HIV, IBS, Crohn's, Cardiac conditions, COPD etc).

I have worked in a variety of Mental health settings within the NHS since 2004. This includes working within primary, secondary and acute care services and within specialist Eating disorder and Chronic pain teams. My most recent role within the NHS was as a Senior Psychological therapist with the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service (IAPT), which involved providing 1:1 and group based therapy. I also provided Clinical supervision to other therapists, including trainees. My role also involved input into the leadership team, in relation to service development and expansion.

My priority when working with someone, is to foster a safe, collaborative and non-judgementalspace, where we can consider your areas of challenge and work together to enable you to reach your goals and find new ways of coping. I look forward to supporting you along your journey.
