About me
I am an orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in Foot & Ankle Surgery. I am also a general adult orthopaedic trauma surgeon with specialist interest in complex foot & ankle trauma.
I performs all types of foot and ankle surgery including deformity corrections and arthritis surgery. I also treat foot and ankle sports injuries. I prefer to use minimally invasive or keyhole techniques where appropriate. I perform minimally invasive bunion correction, lesser toe surgery, Achilles and plantar fascia surgery.
I graduated from the University of Aberdeen with MBChB and BMedSci in 2009. Then I undertook a Masters degree in Surgical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh.
I did my orthopaedic training in the North of Scotland Rotation and obtained my specialist trauma and orthopaedic registration in 2020.
I undertook fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Glasgow and Melbourne.
I started my consultant career in Aberdeen in 2021. I am a keen teacher and am involved in training medical students, foundation doctors and orthopaedic registrars.
My elective practice is based at Woodend General Hospital and trauma practice is at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which is a Major Trauma Centre covering the North of Scotland and the Islands. My private practice is based at Albyn Hospital.
