About me
Re-trained as a doctor at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in east London after originally graduating with an arts degree. Following my probationary year I undertook general medical training in West London at what became Imperial NHS Trust. I completed my specialist training as a Medical Oncologist there in 2012. My PhD was undertaken at Barts Cancer Institute and looked at the use of Oncolytic Viruses to treat cancer. Following specialist training I spent a year working in the world renowned Phase I Clinical Trials Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital before taking up my consultant post at St George's Hospital in 2012
Areas of interest
I have over 10 years experience of treating upper GI, hepatobiliary, liver and cancers of unknown primary within the NHS. I also have an interest in neuroendocrine cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and regularly attend the quarternary NET multidisciplinary meeting at Kings College Hospital. I set up the Acute Oncology and Vague Symptom Diagnostic pathways at St George's University Hospital - a large centre in Southwest London that covers a population of over 1.5 million people.
