About me
After training in Glasgow and Toronto, I became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in bone and soft tissue tumours in 2001. My first Consultant post was in Newcastle upon Tyne, and from 2018 I moved to work in the London Sarcoma Service at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
My practice includes the surgical care of patients with bone and soft tissue tumours, including sarcomas of soft tissue and bone, metastatic bone disease and benign tumours.
I have a keen interest in improving the care of patients with musculoskeletal cancers through research, teaching and service development.
Areas of interest
I see patients of all ages with suspected or proven tumours of the arms, legs and pelvis. These include malignant tumours (cancers) such as: soft tissue sarcoma; bone sarcoma (eg osteosarcoma; Ewings sarcoma; chondrosarcoma); and metastatic bone disease (eg from breast; or prostate cancer). I also see patients with benign tumours such as giant cell tumour of bone; tenosynovial giant cell tumour; synovial chondromatosis; and lipomas.
