About me
Mark is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) with his NHS practice based in Nevill Hall, the Royal Gwent and the Grange University Hospitals. He has a subspecialty interest in knee and hip surgery.
Mark qualified from the University of Oxford medical school in 2005. After undertaking his foundation training in the Oxford Deanery he went on to complete his Orthopaedic training on the Severn Deanery rotation in Bristol. After completing his training he undertook a yearlong fellowship in the Mater Hospital in Sydney in 2016 where he gained extensive experience in soft tissue knee surgery (including ACL reconstruction) as well as hip and knee replacement surgery. In 2017 he completed a further fellowship in Christchurch, New Zealand. Christchurch Hospital is the largest Hospital in the South Island of New Zealand and is a tertiary referral centre for trauma and complex hip and knee arthroplasty. There he gained further experience in hip and knee surgery, with a particular emphasis on partial knee replacements, as well as complex trauma around the hip and knee.
He started as a consultant in ABUHB in September 2017.
