About me

Carolyn became a Consultant Gynaecologist in 2001having trained in London & Oxford. She specialises in providing an individualised approach, which is based on the latest evidence and uniquely tailored to each patients specific needs.
She has extensive experience of managing menstrual problems such as heavy or irregular bleeding as well as menopausal management and pelvic pain, particularly endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Exploring holistic, medical, surgical and minimal access (keyhole) techniques as management options with her patients, up to and including hysterectomy if required.

Her research interests lie in the field of fertility where she has won many prizes for scientific presentations in the field of fertility and gynaecological ultrasound. Carolyn is an accredited teacher and instructor for the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the British Fertility Society (BFS) and was instrumental in the creation of the IVF unit at Epsom & St Helier NHS University Trust which she leads. As a reproductive specialist she provides diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment for conditions affecting fertility such as endometriosis, fibroids, uterine abnormalities, tubal factor infertility and evidence based recurrent miscarriage management

She is a trained paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist belonging to British Society for Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology and an accredited colposcopist.
Carolyn regularly undertakes pelvic floor prolapse management including surgery and is an accredited colposcopist and vulvoscopist.
