About me

Dr Os Alsanjari is a Consultant General Cardiologist with a specialist interest in treating coronary artery disease. He graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School, London, where he attained a merit in clinical sciences and an upper degree second class Honours BSc as well as his primary MBBS qualification. At the start of his career, he was awarded a place on a highly competitive academic foundation programme and then proceeded towards cardiology training in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. He benefited from extremely high quality training, particularly in complex coronary interventions allowing him to deliver the best service for his patients.

He is an expert in all aspects of general cardiology and looks after patients who have symptoms of chest pains, breathlessness, and palpitations (sensation that the heart has an abnormal rhythm). His main subspeciality interest is angioplasty/stenting (to treat furred up or blocked heart arteries) as well as diagnosis/treatment of valvular heart disease, heart failure, hypertension and atrial fibrillation. He is also able to assess patients who need a cardiology opinion prior to having other operations.

He has an extensive background in research and peer reviewed published work. During a period of research, he became an expert in taking accurate measurements and imaging within the heart arteries which has been incorporated into his clinical practice so that patients are benefitting from the cutting edge of available diagnostic and stent optimisation techniques.
