About me

Dr Dhanjal is a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square), and West Hertfordshire NHS Trust. He sees patients with general and acute neurological conditions. He also performs specialist NHS clinics in complex headache and cognitive disorders.

He studied medicine at Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' School of Medicine in London, where he also completed an intercalated BSc. in Pharmacology. He was appointed to the Hammersmith Hospital medical rotation, to complete his postgraduate general medical training, which included posts at the Royal Brompton and Royal Free hospitals.

He was awarded a clinical reseach fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Dunhill Medical Trust to investigate verbal episodic memory in patients with Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitve impairment, using functional magnetic resonance imaging. He was subsequently awarded a clinical research training fellowship from the Medical Research Council (UK) to continue this research. He completed his PhD at Imperial College London in 2011.

Dr Dhanjal trained in neurology on the Imperial College rotation in west London, working at Charing Cross, St Mary's, Chelsea and Westminster, and the Hammersmith hospitals. He was a senior registrar at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
