Research interests

Most of Sean's recent research interests have centred on the outcome of ACL reconstruction and helping to establish the UK National Ligament Registry. He has written several editorials and presentations on this subject.

In addition he has also studied the outcomes and performance of partial knee replacement and his work highlights the potential benefits of this procedure.

He was been the Clinical Lead in a project to redesign the instrumentation for a long established partial knee replacement (Link, St Georg). Sean also held regular international instructional courses for surgeons in Hamburg.

Personal interests

Sean is a keen sportsman having been a schoolboy athlete and a National league basketball player before a first class rugby career. His main club was Wasps but he also played with Bath and Saracens. In addition he represented Middlesex, London Division, Barbarians and England B team.

More recently he has reverted to Indoor Rowing and cycling.
