I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with more than 17 years of post-qualified experience supporting people with a range of psychological challenges. I believe that compassion and connection are key to every therapeutic relationship. It takes great courage to seek help, and I will always work collaboratively with you - taking time to understand where you are feeling stuck, noticing your strengths, and working with you to discover how you can move forward at a pace that feels right.
Areas of interest
I mostly use 3rd wave cognitive behavioural therapies (such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy; Compassion-Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness) and specialise in working with individuals with physical health problems, including chronic pain and diabetes. I am passionate about supporting people in living life as well as possible despite the challenges that come with a long-term condition. I also specialise in stress and a range of anxiety disorders (including OCD; panic; health anxiety; social anxiety; generalised anxiety; phobias and trauma). I have a significant amount of expertise and experience working with a range of other issues within Adult Mental Health including grief and loss; depression and low self-esteem.
