About me

Dr Jyothi Kambhampati is a Consultant Gynaecologist based in Northampton at Northampton General Hospital and BMI THree Shires Hospital. She completed her medical degree at the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences in India in 1999 and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2007. Her areas of special clinical interest are Urogynaecology, Benign vulval diseases, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, menstrual disorders and pelvic pain. She is currently the lead for benign vulval services and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology services at Northampton General Hospital.
Over the years of training and working at several different hospitals in the UK, she has gained expertise in the management of genital organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, benign vulval diseases like cysts, lichen sclerosis, vaginal and vulval itching pain soreness and infections, heavy and painful menstrual bleeding, bleeding in between periods, excessive vaginal discharge, management of fibroids, management of endometriosis and ovarian cysts including keyhole surgery, problems with perineal wound healing after delivery, painful sexual intercourse and pelvic pain, contraceptive advice, advice on HRT.
Mrs Kambhampati offers both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for all the above conditions and also performs ultrasound assessment of the pelvis where indicated.
