About me
In October 2020 Mr Kass began working as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in York.
He qualified from Aleppo University Medical School in Syria in 2004. Since 2005 Mr Kass has worked in hospitals throughout the UK including the West Midlands, North-East/West, South-West, London and Yorkshire. Mr Kass has amassed vast experience in Urology supporting his current practice.
He has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Urological Stone disease and is currently the Lead Clinician for the stone services at York Hospital.
Mr Kass is active academically, producing multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals: the European Journal of Urology (2018) and the British Journal of Urology (2014). He has presented nationally and internationally at Urological conferences in the UK, Sweden, Ireland, France, and the USA. He has written and published a book regarding interview preparation for the specialist training national selection for urology (2017) and won the best paper prize at the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) conference in Liverpool in 2014.
Mr Kass completed a Master's degree (MSc) in Science at the University of Edinburgh in 2010, passing with distinction. His graduation thesis detailed the functional outcomes and health-related quality of life for patients after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer.
