About me
Mr Mohamed Otify is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon with dual specialist accreditation from the General Medical Council. He is one of a select number of UK surgeons holding sub-specialist accreditation in gynaecological oncology surgery alongside accreditation in both advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery recognised by BIARGS (British & Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons) and SERGS (Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery).
Mr Otify provides expert diagnosis, investigation, and personalised treatment for the full range of gynaecological conditions, including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), abnormal vaginal bleeding, heavy and irregular periods, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, and uterine anomalies.
He is a recognised expert in gynaecological cancer care, offering rapid assessment, clear communication, and individually tailored treatment plans for patients with suspected or confirmed cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine (womb) cancer, and vulval cancer. His expertise spans the full pathway from screening and early diagnosis through to complex cancer surgery.
Mr Otify performs a wide range of major gynaecological procedures using the most advanced minimally invasive techniques available, including robotic-assisted surgery and advanced laparoscopy. These approaches offer patients proven benefits smaller incisions, less postoperative pain, reduced blood loss, and faster recovery times.
He trained across leading centres in London and Edinburgh before completing a competitive sub-specialty fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology Surgery at St James's University Hospital, Leeds. He holds the MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Diploma of Gynaecological Endoscopy from the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery in Leuven, Belgium. He is widely published, presents at national and international conferences, and is actively involved in surgical training and research in gynaecological oncology.
Mr Otify is committed to delivering the highest standard of care with compassion, clarity, and respect for every patient.
