About me

Mr. Ismail is a consultant gynaecological surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. He has completed his training in Obstetrics & Gynecology with subspecialty accreditation in gynaecological oncology, this gave him substantial experience in carrying out surgical treatments for a wide spectrum of general gynaecological conditions and all forms of gynaecological cancers.

He offers his patients a wide range of gynaecological services, including treatment of menstrual disorders, post menopausal bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts, advanced gynaecological surgery, treatment of endometriosis, and minor procedures including hysteroscopy and colposcopy.

He has a special interest in minimal invasive surgery (Hysteroscopic, Laparoscopic and Robotic), complex gynaecological procedures, and treatment of all gynaecological cancers. He is a BSCCP accredited colposcopist and trainer with interest in managing vulval, vaginal and cervical pre-cancer conditions.

Mr. Ismail strives to provide a minimally invasive approach to his patients' surgical needs whenever possible. This includes laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. He is instrumental in the development of ultra-radical surgeries in advanced gynaecological cancers and the development of sentinel lymphnode biopsies for vulval, and endometrial cancers at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

He is an European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) Training Supervisor.

Mr. Ismail's caring approach to patients and individualized treatment permits him to provide exceptional care that addresses the needs of all his patients.

Mr. Ismail continuously audit his clinical performances to make sure excellent care is delivered to all his patients. He is heavily involved with research and regularly publish and present in scientific meetings and journals.
