About me
Caitlyn is a warm, authentic and compassionate Clinical Psychologist, who aims to support individuals and their systems to get them back towards what is important to them. She has over 17 years of experience of working in mental health; across the NHS, private and not-for-profit organisations within the U.K. and Australia. She utilises an integrative approach, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, systemic therapy and mindfulness. Whilst currently working in Paediatric Gastro-enterology in her NHS role, she has worked across a range of physical and mental health settings, and across the lifespan.
Caitlyn aims to provide a safe and containing space to work together collaboratively on a person's aims/goals, and will individualise therapy to the person and what seems helpful for them. As the therapeutic relationship is integral, she is happy to provide an initial 15-minute telephone consultation to see if she may be the right fit for the person, and can also answer any further questions they may have prior to therapy.
